SO I made this timeline of the server trying to ask the question, "How long does the world last?".

It seems to run as long as possible, only resetting when large changes are made to the game that break command block functions or cause game-ending bugs and corrupted chunks, but on average how long is it? So, while the past won't determine what happens in the future of the game, it at least gives us - regulars and new players alike - a place to start, and to appreciate what exactly we're making every time we log in.

To me, it's like a long, collaborative story...

So, if you have any events you think should be added to the timeline - big battles, outside attacks, notable meta changes, etc - post them here & they may get added. Please, tell me your stories - I'd love to hear them~

Has anyone got pictures of the various spawns? I think I must have one of the giant tree, which I think must have been 1.11 maybe?? Ill have a look and see what I have

- 1.7 - The Update that Changed the World -

• Server created (as recalled by setzke) sometime September of 2013

• 9/1/2013 - 9/4/2014: "Square of the Gods" - Spawn is a city square holding giant, sword-wielding statues of famous players and a giant creeper, next to a forest near the ocean. Lasted ~12 months until 9/3

- 1.8 - The Bountiful Update -

• 9/4/2014 - 3/5/2016: "Post Apocolyptic" - The city square is now run-down & abandoned, the statues long gone. Forest is replaced by hills, and the ocean is slowly encrouching upon it. Lasted ~ 1 year 6 months
• 10/23/2014: SV moves to Serverkart Site
• 8/5/2015: "SV Talk Show" Community Build

- 1.9 - The Combat Update - 

• 3/5/2016 - 12/30/2016: The New World - The city square is now at the bottom of the sea, surrounded by a glass bubble, while above a Castle and Desert Harbor town flourish. Lasted ~ 10 months

- 1.10 - The Frostburn Update - 6/8/2016 -

• 12/16/2016 - Ownership Change

- 1.11 - The Exploration Update - tried to bring "The New World" into this version, but too many chunk errors forced us to reset...

• 12/30/2016 - 8/5/2018: The World Tree - Spawn is a giant tree next to a huge castle on a mooshroom island surrounded by ocean. Lasted ~ 1 year 7 months.

- 1.12.2 - World of Color - 9/19/2017 -

- 1.13 - Aquatic Update -

• 8/6/2018 - 12/9/2019: Under the Sea - Spawn is a giant underwater glass dome, surrounded by giant stone spikes in the middle of the ocean. Lasted ~1 year 4 months

- 1.14.2 - Village & Pillage - 5/31/2019 -

- 1.15 - Buzzy Bees - 

• 12/10/2019 - 11/29/2021: The Beehive - spawn is a giant hive surrounded by a picturesque village...

- 1.16 - Nether Update - 6/24/2020 - deleted the nether completely so that the new nether could be generated properly.

- 1.17 - Caves & Cliffs Part 1 - 7/12/2021

- 1.18 - Caves & Cliffs Part 2 - 

• 11/30/2021 - Current: SV City Skylines (working title) - The world has expanded upwards & downwards, and spawn as become a sprawling metropolis floating on islands in the sky. What secrets do they hold? Explore to find out!

Love it! Great Archiving :D .. and Ahh the world Tree! I joined then and loved that spawn :)
